Meet Prof. Gal Yadid
As the head of the Laboratory of Neuropsychopharmacology, I manage a research team of 8 PhD students, 3 graduate students, one postdoc student and a lab technician. Our lab is well-experienced with behavioral and pharmacological and genetic/epigenetic research-methods. I have a broad scientific background in both pharmacology and neuroscience, with specific training and expertise in key research areas including drug addiction, depression and PTSD. Over the last 7 years we have recruited personnel with expertise in state-of-the-art epigenetic and microbiome techniques, and thus established on-going collaborations with leading scientists in the field. I have successfully directed research projects in these and other significant collaborations, and produced several peer-reviewed publications from each project (see below). In summary, I have an established record of successful and productive research projects in areas of high significance in the neuropsychiatric field, and my expertise and experience have prepared me to lead other proposed collaborative projects.
